The Gran Canaria Congress Centre of Infecar hosts fifteen events during the month of March

The 31 days of March have been a busy month at the Infecar Gran Canaria Conference Centre. The social and business fabric of the Canary Islands has found the ideal space for holding different events at our venue.

We began the month with the presentation of the Office of Community Transformation and Energy Transition, a service created by the Gran Canaria Island Energy Council to advise and inform citizens on the creation of energy communities.

The Bandama Hall was the space chosen by Gran Canaria Tourism for the professional conference ‘Presentation of the German Market‘, in which the technical team of the institution analysed the profile of the German tourist visiting the island and presented the actions promoted in 2022 and those planned for 2023.

The artist Arkano, who suffered bullying as a teenager, gave a talk on the stage of the Sala Canarias on ‘Being different‘, where he gave a message of hope to those who are going through this situation.

From 1 to 4 March, young talents from different countries participated in the sixth edition of the Smart Green Island Makeathon, an educational event promoted by ITQ GmbH to develop innovative ideas and prototypes in fields such as IoT, robotics and green energy.

On 9 March, 400 Hiperdino employees gathered on our premises to take part in the company’s annual congress, an internal meeting that was interrupted after the pandemic began.

A busy second fortnight

Halfway through March, the Directorate General for Vocational Training and Adult Education of the Government of the Canary Islands held two important Vocational Training events at Infecar: the Canary Islands Dual Vocational Training Congress, which addressed the challenges and opportunities of this type of education, and the Canarias Skills competition, in which students demonstrated their skills in different tests.

On Thursday 23 March, those attending Victor Küppers’ Expert Minds ‘Living with enthusiasm’ learnt the keys to learning to live and work with enthusiasm, joy and optimism. The same day also saw the Euro-emotur Consortium meeting, a meeting of the EUROEMOTUR project, led by the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, which aims to connect SMEs with digital technologies through people and knowledge.

The young people of Gran Canaria once again gathered at Infecar to experience the V Island Youth Fair #Rumbo 2023 and the Youth Forum #TAGOROR, a space where they found information stands, talks and workshops, among other informative, cultural and social activities promoted by the Department of Education and Youth of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria.

On 28 March, the president of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Antonio Morales, welcomed 143 young professionals hired by the Island Corporation for their first work experience through the New Employment Opportunities project at Infecar.

During all the weeks of March we have been the meeting point for CEOs of companies in the DigitalXBorder programme, a learning experience that offers the tools to facilitate decision-making in a digital environment in continuous transformation.

In addition to all this, the Gran Canaria Convention Centre was visited by BCO Congresos, one of Spain’s leading marketers of Business and Incentive Events and Congresses.

As a final climax, today, 31st March, we will experience at Infecar the recognition awarded by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria to artisans for their contribution to the survival of traditional crafts.

Many thanks to the companies and institutions that have placed their trust in us for the celebration of their events.

We will continue with more activity during the month of April!
