The technological advances that agriculture and livestock farming have experienced in recent years and possible solutions to the primary sector’s main problems will come together on December 13 and 14 at ExpoAgro Canarias.

This event, promoted and financed by the Cabildo of Gran Canaria and organized by Infecar, will bring together farmers, ranchers, suppliers, public and private companies and other professionals in the sector to discuss the application of new technologies and innovation in a primary sector that is undergoing a process of modernization and tries, every day, to improve its performance while continuing to move towards sustainability.

How to use technology to combat pests that affect crops and livestock farms, how to increase local production, and the role of innovation in the sector’s progress towards sustainability are topics on which experts and professionals participating in ExpoAgro Canarias 2023 will debate. The objective of this edition, under the umbrella of ‘Innovation Encounters’, will be to work hand in hand to continue making progress towards a model of the primary sector that promotes food sovereignty and generates the most negligible impact on the environment, taking care of the landscape and increasing the quality of life of farmers, ranchers and also those who inhabit the territory.

The schedule of the conferences can already be consulted on the website expoagrocanarias.es, where you can also register to participate in the two training sessions that will take place on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 December at Infecar and which will be moderated by the insular director of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Alejandro Báez.
