Planeta Gran Canaria adds joy to the homes of the island at Christmas.

The Planeta Gran Canaria festival, promoted and funded by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and organized by Infecar, has shown its most charitable side in its opening days. The 23rd edition of the festival delivered the toys donated by attendees on Friday as part of the ‘+ Que Reyes’ campaign organized by Infecar in collaboration with the Casa de Galicia. Donating these toys to needy families during the festive and joyful holiday season is the goal.

“We have delivered the toys donated by the attendees of Planeta Gran Canaria, demonstrating the commitment of the people of Gran Canaria to the wonderful work carried out by the Casa de Galicia on the island,” emphasized Minerva Alonso, the Councilor for Economic Development, Industry, Commerce, and Crafts of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, on Friday. The councillor was welcomed at the Casa de Galicia by its president, Albino Aneiros, who expressed gratitude for the toy donations. Additionally, the island councillor encouraged all families to enjoy Planeta Gran Canaria, which will remain open until January 4, 2024.

The universe of Planeta Gran Canaria awaits you at Infecar.

Nearly ten thousand children and young people, accompanied by their families and friends, have already visited the Gran Canaria Fair to enjoy the wide variety of activities offered in this edition of Planeta Gran Canaria, which opened its doors on December 26. However, the fun, adventures, and games will continue for children and young people to enjoy and learn with dozens of family activities until January 4.

The 23rd edition of Planeta Gran Canaria features the participation of one of the most successful content creators in the country. YouTuber Mikecrak will challenge attendees to his favourite video game and demonstrate his digital skills on January 3 and 4, with two sessions each day at 12:00 and 17:30 at the Infecar Congress Palace. Tickets for these sessions, which include access to the festival, are available for sale at 10 euros on the website planetagrancanaria.es.

On the same planet, the Planet of Light and Color continues the immersion in the world of The Little Prince, with six sessions each day; the magic and environment show by the Reciclean team, with four daily sessions, and a musical for the whole family, with one in the morning and another in the afternoon. In the Digital Planet, dedicated to digital skills, attendees could spend an afternoon with the Gran Canaria gamer Tania Santana, known as ThaNix229, this Wednesday. Until next Thursday, the island’s gamers can continue to enjoy the extensive digital zone and share with many other young people playing FIFA, Fortnite, and many other video games, as well as original activities like ‘BattleBots.’

Performances from the ‘Cancionero Isleño,’ ‘Pequelandia,’ and the skating rink are some of the activities in the Recreation Planet, where children can also transform into the characters they desire with face painting, enjoy puppet theatre, and unleash their creativity with Hama and lettering workshops. On the other hand, the Challenge Planet offers many adventures, from a bike circuit, jumping, bumper cars, and an obstacle course to traditional attractions like Lagolandia and Aladino.

The Planeta Gran Canaria universe is complemented in this edition by the Fun Planet, with numerous inflatables for all ages and workshops for modelling slime, plastidiver, and Christmas desserts, and the Adventure Planet, where you can find a giant game library, different sensory games to stimulate the youngest members of the family, and inclusive shows and challenges for learning together.

Tickets for the 23rd edition of Planeta Gran Canaria can continue to be purchased for 5 euros per person at the Infecar box office and on the website planetagrancanaria.es. The four-ticket pack costs 16 euros, and group tickets for at least ten visitors cost 3.50 euros per person. Children under three, unemployed individuals, pensioners, retirees, and people with disabilities will have free access to the venue upon presenting their condition at the entrance.

The opening hours of Planeta Gran Canaria are every day until January 4, from 10:00 to 20:30, except for this Sunday, December 31, when it will be closed, and Monday, January 1, when it will open from 16:00 to 20:30. The schedule for this 23rd edition of the festival can be consulted on the website planetagrancanaria.es, where information about the Inclusive Planet is also available, aiming to enhance the experience for children and young people with special needs at the event.

The 23rd edition of ‘Planeta Gran Canaria’ is an event promoted and funded by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and organized by Infecar; sponsored by the Disa Foundation, Isola, and El Corte Inglés, with the official collaboration of Cajasiete and the collaboration of Playland, Coca Cola, Conforama, Gran Canaria Accessible, and the Chamber of Commerce of Gran Canaria.
