  • During the last nine days, Infecar has brought together the most significant offer of children’s leisure and education with a video game area, skating rink, bouncy castles, attractions, plays and workshops

The magic and illusion of Planet Gran Canaria closes its doors today until the next edition, after having infected adults and little ones over the last nine days with the joy and fun of enjoying family time. On this occasion, nearly 28,000 children, teenagers and family members have passed through Infecar to make the most of an appointment that the huge satisfaction of those attending has marked.

“We say goodbye to this 23rd edition of Planet Gran Canaria with a perfect taste in our mouths, thanks to the good experience lived by visitors who have come to Infecar in recent days. The boys, girls and youth of Gran Canaria have enjoyed a programme created for them to have fun this Christmas playing, learning and sharing quality family time. We have met expectations”, said Natalia Santana, general director of Infecar.

Promoted and financed by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and organised by Infecar, this festival has once again become an essential plan for the island’s citizens, with a wide range of leisure and educational activities.
In total, six planets have hosted all the fun and magic of the 23rd edition of Planet Gran Canaria: Digital Planet, Play Planet, Fun Planet, Planet of Light and Colour, Challenge Planet and Adventure Planet. Thousands of children, teenagers, and their families have been toured and enjoyed them. They have also played and learned with their little ones thanks to numerous activities designed to share quality time.

Mikecrack, the alter ego of YouTuber Miguel Bernal, has closed this event in style. The popular content creator offered four shows this Wednesday and Thursday in which his Gran Canaria followers have gotten to know him better.
More than 2,000 Mikecrack fans have sung the character’s most popular songs at the top of their voices; they have exchanged questions and answers, and some lucky ones have managed to play a video game live on stage.

All this has been on the Planet of Light and Colour, where the little ones have also been able to enjoy an immersion in the peculiar world of The Little Prince, a magic show in which they have learned to value and care for the environment and a musical family theatre play.

The favourite space for young people has been Digital Planet, where gamers from Gran Canaria have enjoyed a large area dedicated to video games and original activities to learn about robotics, such as drone and robot racing and fighting. In addition, Digital Planet featured the participation last Wednesday, December 27, of Gran Canaria gamer Thannix229.

The skating rink, performances and workshops of the “Isleño Songbook” and puppet theatre, face painting, various creative workshops and the space dedicated to games for the little ones, ‘Pequelandia’, made up of Play Planet.
On Challenge Planet, thousands of boys and girls have enjoyed driving the bumper cars and touring the bike circuit; they have jumped and overcome the American track’s obstacles and climbed aboard the traditional attractions of ‘Lagolandia’ and ‘Aladdin’. Travelling to the Wild West or an old castle in a single leap is possible at Fun Planet, which features several bouncy castles for all ages and workshops that have put children’s creativity to the test.
Adventure Planet has completed the universe of Planet Gran Canaria with a giant game playroom, numerous sensory games for the little ones and educational shows for the whole family designed to promote good values.

Furthermore, Planet Gran Canaria featured an Inclusive Planet this edition, enabling girls, boys and young people with ASD, Generalised Developmental Disorder or other special needs to enjoy all spaces and the extensive programme. For this, Infecar offered several time slots every opening day with softened music and lights. Priority access to activities and attractions gave them a magical, fun, and tailored experience.
The 23rd edition of ‘Planet Gran Canaria’ has been promoted and financed by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and organised by Infecar; sponsored by the Disa Foundation, Isola and El Corte Inglés, and has the official collaboration of Cajasiete and the collaboration of Playland, Coca Cola, Conforama, Gran Canaria Accessible and the Gran Canaria Chamber of Commerce.
