The 23rd edition of Planeta Gran Canaria opens the doors to its universe of magic and fun.

  •  Tickets to attend the festival, which will be open until January 4, 2024, can be purchased on the website www.planetagrancanaria.es and at the Infecar box office.
  • The last day to contribute to the charitable toy collection campaign will be this Thursday, December 28.

The Planeta Gran Canaria festival promoted and financed by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and organized by Infecar, has opened the doors of its 23rd edition today, Tuesday. More than a thousand boys and girls, accompanied by their families, have been able to enjoy, laugh, play, and learn in the early hours of this children’s festival that has returned once again to Infecar with a program full of fun activities to learn and enjoy with the family.

“From today until January 4, thousands of people will pass through Planeta Gran Canaria to experience these Christmas dates in a fun and educational way with the whole family,” celebrated the President of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Antonio Morales, during the inauguration of this festival, which is the “most visited and participated in our island,” with an average of thirty thousand visitors in recent editions.

Planeta Gran Canaria this year offers “an immense range of possibilities for all ages, from the classic ice rink to carousels, paint wars, educational games, and other attractions that have been added to the traditional ones,” highlighted the island president, who was accompanied by the general director of Infecar, Natalia Santana, and the councillor of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and member of the Infecar Board of Directors, Pedro Quevedo.

A universe of fun

The Planets of Light and Color, Challenge, Fun, Adventure, Recreation, and Digital have already begun their activities at Infecar. They hope to welcome thousands of boys, girls, and young people until Thursday, January 4. The Planet of Light and Color, in the Congress Palace, will feature on January 3 and 4 the participation of one of the country’s most popular YouTubers, Mikecrak, who will showcase his digital skills and challenge some lucky attendees to a game of his favourite video game. The YouTuber will offer two sessions each day, at 12:00 and 17:30.

The same planet hosts an immersive walk where you can discover the world of The Little Prince with sessions at 10:30, 11:30, 13:30, 16:30, 18:00, and 19:30. In the same space, the Recycle team agents offer their magic and environmental care show every day at 11:00, 14:30, 17:00, and 19:00. In addition, the whole family can enjoy the family musical YABBADABBADUUU!!!!, with two sessions each day at 12:30 and 16:00.

Also, the Gran Canaria gamer Tania Santana, known as ThaNix229, will be part of the Digital Planet of Planeta Gran Canaria tomorrow, Wednesday, where she will share an afternoon of video games with festival attendees between 17:30 and 19:30 in Pavilion 7B, which has been transformed for the occasion into an area of ​​video games and digital competitions.

Face painting, puppets, lettering and Hama workshops, in addition to performances by the ‘Cancionero isleño’, ‘Pequelandia’, and the ice rink, are some of the family activities that await the little ones at the Recreation Planet located in Pavilion 7 and 7B. An obstacle course, a traffic circuit, jumping and paintball, in addition to bumper cars and the attractions Lagolandia and Aladdin, make up the Challenge Planet, which is located in the outdoor areas of the venue. In Pavilion 5, the Fun Planet has inflatables for all ages and numerous slime, plastidiver, paper craft, and Christmas dessert workshops. Pavilion 6 hosts the Adventure Planet, a space dedicated to the giant games library and accessibility, with shows and challenges to overcome as a family.

Solidarity toy collection ‘+ Que Reyes’

The solidarity toy donation campaign ‘+ Que Reyes’, promoted by Infecar in collaboration with the Casa de Galicia, has already received its first toy deliveries this Monday, destined for families in need during these particular dates. Festival attendees who wish to collaborate by donating new, non-warlike, and non-sexist toys can also do so tomorrow and the day after, Wednesday, December 27, and Thursday, December 28, in the Hall of the Congress Palace, during the same hours as Planeta Gran Canaria.

Tickets to enjoy the 23rd edition of Planeta Gran Canaria with the family can be purchased on the website www.planetagrancanaria.es and at the Infecar box office for 5 euros per person. The pack of four tickets has a price of 16 euros, and the group ticket, for a minimum of ten visitors, is 3.50 euros per person. As usual, children under three, unemployed individuals, pensioners, retirees, and people with disabilities will have free access upon accreditation of their condition at the venue entrance. The price of tickets to the Mikecrack sessions on January 3 and 4 is 10 euros, which includes admission to the festival.

Planeta Gran Canaria will open its doors every day from 10:00 to 20:30 until Thursday, January 4, except for this Sunday, December 31, when it will be closed, and Monday, January 1, when the schedule will be from 16:00 to 20:30.
