The central theme for the eighth edition of ExpoBienestar Canarias, ‘Learning and development with the seven senses’, aims to equip attendees with the necessary tools and knowledge for their professional development. For the first time, this event will launch with two practical workshops added to the program, which will take place on Wednesday, September 27, and Friday, September 29.

ExpoBienestar Canarias has established itself through these eight editions as an event to spread knowledge and provide tools for professional development. ExpoBienestar Canarias focuses on the individual to improve their performance and emotional management in the professional field through topics such as leadership, communication, education, and talent development.

Therefore, it is an open connection space for in-depth knowledge of well-being in professional and personal environments.

With this initial idea and in line with the firm commitment towards the island’s economic development, this event aims to provide new capabilities of development and well-being management to the population of Gran Canaria, giving them access to new tools and qualified professionals and also enhancing the wellness sector as a unique niche for learning, growth, and entrepreneurship.

ExpoBienestar Canarias will hold its primary conference day on Thursday, September 28, starting at 9:30 a.m., hosted by presenter Angie Rigueiro.

The first to take the stage at Infecar’s Canarias Room will be Laura Chica, a psychologist specialising in talent management and development, delivering a talk on self-confidence. Chica has helped many companies develop their internal talent. She lectures and aids in team development, works with entrepreneurs, and allows businesses to refocus and improve their strategies.

Next, at 11:00 a.m., Francisco Alcaide, a speaker and trainer in leadership and motivation, will provide the necessary keys to learn from the best. His address will be a meeting point for personal growth and development.

The morning session will end with Sol Aguirre, creator of ‘Las Claves de Sol’, one of the most-read blogs in Spain. In her contribution, she provides companies with tools to answer doubts and overcome obstacles, creating her mentorship process in project creation, idea generation, testing, validation, and launch to the market, keeping them alive and in constant evolution.

The afternoon session will start at 4:00 p.m. with Professor Rafael Bisquerra, the president of RIEEB (International Network of Emotional Education and Wellness), who will focus on training emotionally intelligent people. He will delve into practical strategies for cultivating self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and social skills throughout our existence.

At 5.15 p.m., Almudena Cid will take over ExpoBienestar Canarias to delve into the importance of walking firmly to advance when events in life are unforeseen. After a break, at 7:00 p.m., presenter Angie Rigueiro will present her vision of achieving professional and personal goals, helping us to secure the tools to guide people to the best version of themselves.

Closing the day will be Nena Daconte, the alter ego of Mai Meneses, who will address the limits of success and failure, reflecting on her book, telling her truth, and talking about the importance of mental health. The event will end with a musical performance on her part.
