The International Canagua and Energy Fair ends positioning itself as the event of reference in the islands

The 13th edition of the International Fair Canagua and Energy closes its doors, demonstrating the commitment of professionals and citizens to make the Canary Islands a benchmark in water and energy at international level. Almost 2,000 visitors have come to Infecar during these three days to see first hand the latest products and services of 70 exhibiting companies that have come together in this edition.

Promoted and financed by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, the Consejo Insular de la Energía and the Consejo Insular de Aguas; and organized by Infecar, this thirteenth edition has served to highlight the growing interest of citizens, in general, and professionals, in particular, in applying technological solutions in the water and energy sector.

“With Canagua and Energy, Gran Canaria once again positions itself as a leader in the energy transition of the archipelago, through a professional event that has offered products and services in the field of water and energy and has put on the table issues and topics that will mark the agenda of sustainability in the coming years,” said Raul Garcia Brink, technical coordinator of Economic Development, Sustainability, Climate and Knowledge of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria.

In addition to the commercial exhibition, Canagua and Energy has presented for three days an extensive program of Technical Conferences, which has been configured by a module dedicated to ‘Energy’ and another dedicated to ‘Water’ and has had a remarkable follow-up by the visitors of this edition.

Thus, this Friday, the normative frameworks and technical regulations related to water have been debated, shelling in detail the new European directive on the quality of water intended for human consumption; the new European regulation on water reuse for agricultural irrigation; and the challenges posed by this regulation for the Canary Islands.

“Canagua and Energy has returned to our enclosure with a lot of strength, with a number of exhibitors that beats the record set in the 2018 edition and with nearly 2,000 visitors,” said Natalia Santana, general manager of Infecar. “The program of this edition, which has been formed by high-level Technical Conferences, a space for exhibitor presentations and B2B business meetings, which have been very well received by all the visitors who have accompanied us,” she concluded.

The 13th edition of the International Fair Canagua and Energy is promoted and financed by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, the Energy Island Council and the Water Island Council; organized by Infecar; with Cajasiete as official collaborator; the collaboration of the Chamber of Commerce of Gran Canaria, Proexca, the Technological Institute of the Canary Islands and SM Advance Energy; as well as with the collaborating media iRehabitae, Aguas Residuales, Retema, Equipamiento y Servicios Municipales and TecnoAqua.
