The Gran Canaria Summer South Craft Fair will return to the surroundings of the iconic Maspalomas Lighthouse from 7 to 16 August. Over the course of ten days, this landmark location in southern Gran Canaria will host the 19th edition of the fair, offering visitors the opportunity to discover the work of skilled artisans from across the island.

Once again, dozens of artisans representing different municipalities of Gran Canaria will take part in the event, presenting handcrafted pieces created with dedication, creativity and expertise. Each item reflects the island’s cultural heritage while showcasing the craftsmanship and months of work behind every creation.

From 7 to 16 August, residents and visitors alike will be able to enjoy a different kind of stroll around the Maspalomas Lighthouse, meeting the artisans behind a wide variety of handcrafted products, including leather goods, natural soaps, traditional toys, textiles, jewellery and many other traditional and contemporary crafts. Together, they offer a unique insight into the traditions and living heritage of the Canary Islands through original, handmade creations.

Every day between 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., visitors can come to discover and purchase these unique items, admire the crafts on display, and enjoy live musical performances that liven up the tour. Both the activities program and the list of registered artisans for this edition will soon be available on the fair’s website: feriasartesaniagrancanaria.es.

The Gran Canaria Summer South Craft Fair is promoted and funded by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria through the Foundation for the Ethnography and Development of Canarian Crafts (FEDAC) and organised by Infecar, Gran Canaria Exhibition Centre, with the collaboration of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana Town Council.
