It’s a time of renewal for the Canarian Association of the MICE Industry, refreshing its board of directors after four years of continuous activity. The priority commitment is to promote the development and excellence of the MICE sector in the Canary Islands.
Zoilo Alemán, MICE Director at Lopesan Hotel Management and Director of the Expomeloneras Congress Palace is the new president of the Canarian Association of the MICE Industry following a unanimous election. Alemán, who has a career spanning over twenty-five years in the MICE industry, has committed to working closely with all association members to drive growth and innovation in the MICE sector in the Canary Islands. His vision includes promoting strategic alliances.
Infecar, Gran Canaria Fair, joins this board of directors, with Natalia Santana, General Manager, now the secretary. “Associations are a fundamental tool for valorizing the fair and congress industry, in this specific case, in the Canary Islands and globally. Through Canarias MICE, we work together to position the islands as a business destination, increasing the sector’s visibility, generating specialized knowledge, supporting the socio-economic fabric of our land, and facing future challenges that arise, mainly in sustainability and digital transformation. Associationism is a fundamental tool for everyone as it allows us to work hand in hand. Having a network of sector professionals with whom we exchange impressions and experiences allows us to improve our competitiveness,” acknowledges Santana.
