- Gran Canarian families can continue the fun this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with over 40 family-friendly activities.
- One of the festival’s biggest draws will be the meet-and-greets with the YouTuber Timba and his fans.
Since its opening on December 26th, Planeta Gran Canaria has welcomed over 18,000 visitors who have enjoyed its wide range of recreational, educational, and inclusive activities. “Planeta Gran Canaria has added 4,500 more visitors compared to the previous edition,” highlighted Minerva Alonso, Councilor for Economic Development, Industry, Commerce, and Crafts of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, who encouraged “families and the people of Gran Canaria to participate and share with the youngest on the island all the activities that Planeta offers, both for educational leisure and also to promote the values of solidarity.”
Thousands of families have enjoyed the unique activities offered by this space in its six themed areas. The youngest have experienced the adrenaline of trampolines and bouncy castles, bumper cars, and the American slide, while families have come together in dynamic activities such as paintball and traffic circuits, which combine fun and learning. There have also been cultural and interactive shows, escape rooms, and creative workshops where children have been able to make slime, Christmas desserts, and crafts like face painting and lettering, developing their imagination and artistic skills.
This festival has not only offered unforgettable experiences for families but has also reinforced values such as generosity and solidarity. On this occasion, Planeta Gran Canaria has maintained its solidarity commitment to the Las Palmas Food Bank, inviting all visitors to collaborate with donations of basic necessities. Many of them have already shown their most committed side in these days, contributing packages of gofio, pasta, or hygiene products, among others, upon entering the venue.
Fun in the final stretch
Planeta Gran Canaria, which has consolidated itself as the largest family leisure space on the island, is now preparing to say goodbye to its 24th edition with two final days full of magic, fun, and unforgettable moments.
This Thursday, January 2nd, Friday, 3rd, and Saturday, 4th, Gran Canarian families still have the opportunity to enjoy the more than 40 activities distributed over 10,000 m2 dedicated to family entertainment. Among the most outstanding options are the themed areas such as Planeta Desafío, Planeta Diversión, and Planeta Digital, as well as theatrical and musical shows in Planeta Luz y Color.
Inclusive measures, which include special hours and adaptations for children with ASD, have also been highly valued by attending families.
One of the most anticipated activities of these last days is the meeting that the popular YouTuber Timba Vk and his friend Mondongo will have with their followers on January 3rd and 4th at 12:00 pm in the Palacio de Congresos. Tickets are still available for these sessions, which promise to be an unforgettable experience for fans of Los Compas.
It should be noted that Planeta Gran Canaria will remain open during these days from 10:00 am to 8:30 pm, closing its doors definitively on Saturday, January 4th. Tickets to access the fair, as well as those for the meetings with Timba Vk and Mondongo, can be purchased at the venue’s box office or through the official website planetagrancanaria.es.
Planeta Gran Canaria is promoted and financed by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and organized by Infecar, Feria de Gran Canaria, with the support of the Fundación Disa, Isola, El Corte Inglés, and the collaboration of Cajasiete, the Las Palmas Food Bank, the Gran Canaria Chamber of Commerce, and El Paraguas Events.
