  • Companies in the sector interested in showcasing their products and services are still in time to secure their participation

The Canary Islands Electric Vehicle Show, Movelec, returns on 18 and 19 April for its ninth edition, which will take place at its new venue at the Agüimes Exhibition Centre. The event aims once again to consolidate its position as the leading showcase for electric mobility in the Archipelago, providing exhibiting companies with an ideal opportunity to present their products and services related to sustainable transport.

Once again, Movelec will bring together companies representing the entire clean mobility value chain. The event will feature 100% electric vehicle manufacturers and dealers, workshops and specialised services, as well as renewable energy installers and charging solution providers, all working towards the shared goal of promoting zero-emission mobility.

In addition, Movelec will once again serve as a space where industry professionals and the general public can learn about the latest technological advances and the current vehicle offering. Over two days, visitors will have the opportunity to discover first-hand the newest developments in electric mobility, along with charging solutions, specialised services and technologies linked to sustainable transport. They will also be able to obtain up-to-date information on the public incentives available for the purchase of electric vehicles.

The event will also feature a programme of talks and round tables focusing on CO₂ emission reduction, improved urban noise levels and progress towards more sustainable communities, aligned with the eco-island concept and Gran Canaria’s energy transition goals.

In this regard, the Electric Vehicle Show will once again become a meeting point where the industry can explore the latest technological innovations and establish commercial contacts that may lead to future business opportunities. Non-professional attendees interested in sustainable mobility will have the chance to learn about the current market offering and discover the support schemes available from different public administrations for purchasing electric vehicles and installing charging infrastructure.

Full information about participating companies, as well as the conference programme, will be available at https://movelec-canarias.com/. The website also includes the application form for companies interested in exhibiting their products and services at the Agüimes Exhibition Centre. INFECAR, Feria de Gran Canaria, has also opened free registration for members of the public wishing to attend this key event in its annual calendar.

Promoted by the Cabildo of Gran Canaria through the Island Energy Council and organised by Infecar, Feria de Gran Canaria, Movelec is supported by Cajasiete, the Agüimes City Council and the Electric Vehicle Users Association (AUVE).
