The Gran Canaria Me Gusta Fair will open this weekend at Infecar, Feria de Gran Canaria, surpassing its exhibitor record. In its 12th edition, the event will feature 110 primary-sector producer companies, cooperatives, associations and two artisans.
Once again, the fair will showcase a strong representation of the island’s primary sector, which—represented by companies and 20 municipalities—will display in the exhibition area the quality of agri-food products and the outstanding work of Gran Canaria’s farmers, ranchers and artisans.
Among the confirmed exhibitors are cheese producers such as Flor Valsequillo, Arquegran Agüimes, Fuente Morales, San Mateo, El Garrote, Amurga and La Cazuela, as well as dairies like Madre Vieja and Los Castañeros, Los Quesitos de Anabel, Quesos Frescos Lomo Gallego and Mansueto. Sweet and pastry brands will also be present, including Dulcería Nublo, Turrones Mederos, Génesis Desserts, Panadería Artesanal Artiles, Panadería-bollería Manuela, Singlutencake, Sin Gluten & Cositas Dulces, Mermeladas Mamasayo and the Biscuit and Meringue Factory of Moya.
They will be joined by innovative initiatives such as Deleite Canario, La Bendita, Coffee Fungi, Babanam Cream, Zumísimo, Pauleta Canaria, Frutizum, Neos Beer and Guarapo de Caña Dulce. Major names like Tirma, Hiperdino, SPAR Gran Canaria, Destilerías Arehucas, Jucarne, La Isleña, Isola, Galletas Bandama, Gofio La Piña, Ahembo, Aguas de Firgas, Intercasa, Mondalón Picachos, Aperitivos Snack, Panna y Pomodoro and Cervecera de Canarias will also take part.
Alongside these producers, entities such as the Gran Canaria Wine Route, Gran Canaria Agricultural Markets, Biocosecha, ASINCA, ASOQUEGRAN, ACECICAN, APROCEGAL, PROQUENOR, the Almond Association of Gran Canaria, AIDER Gran Canaria, Biocosecha, Tierra Fértil and the Biocanarias Cooperative will be present.
Artisans will have their own space, represented by FEDAC, with projects like Mira Cerámica and Embarradarte. Additionally, 20 island municipalities will participate, demonstrating institutional commitment to local products. Completing the line-up are key entities such as Mataderos Insulares de Gran Canaria, Agrícola del Norte (Lairaga), the Coordinating Body of Farmers and Ranchers (COAG-Canarias), El Cardón, ARISTEO and Viveros Fataga, among others.
Gastronomic Demonstrations
Regarding gastronomy, renowned chefs and industry professionals will deliver an intense programme of demonstrations throughout the weekend in Pavilion 5—some sponsored by Hiperdino—where they will share techniques, creative fusions and inspiration drawn from local products.
One of the most anticipated demonstrations will be by Michelin-starred chef Jordi Cruz, known for his work at restaurants such as ABaC (Barcelona) and for his role as a judge on the television programme ‘MasterChef’. On Saturday, May 10, in the afternoon, the Catalan chef will showcase his ability to blend tradition with innovation, combining technical precision with creativity. In recent years, this combination has made him one of the leading figures on the international gastronomic scene.
In addition, Infecar has organised multiple activities for all audiences, including children’s workshops promoted and organised by the Gran Canaria Chamber of Commerce, with the collaboration of the Gran Canaria Economic Promotion Society (Spegc). Highlights include workshops by chef Valentina Salazar (winner of MasterChef Junior 11) and initiatives such as the ‘Fruit Art’ workshop sponsored by SPAR Gran Canaria.
As a novelty, this year the fair will host, for the first time, an Employment and Gastronomy Meeting—a joint initiative with the Gran Canaria Chamber of Commerce and the Innova Gastrocan Cluster—to foster connections between students and professionals in the sector.
Tickets for the Gran Canaria Me Gusta Fair, to be held from May 9 to 11 at Infecar, Feria de Gran Canaria, are available for a symbolic price of €1.50 and can be purchased at the box office or on the official website feriagrancanariamegusta.es, where the full programme is also available.
The Cabildo de Gran Canaria promotes and finances the fair, which is organised by Infecar, Feria de Gran Canaria. Cajasiete is an official collaborator, and the Gran Canaria Me Gusta initiative and the Gran Canaria Chamber of Commerce support it. This 2025 edition is sponsored by SPAR Gran Canaria and Hiperdino, with Comercial Naranjo as equipment sponsor.
