More than 35,000 people leave their mark on the celebration of 25 years of history of Planeta Gran Canaria

  • The fair has once again demonstrated that it is an essential meeting point for families on the island seeking quality time with relatives and friends
  • One of the standout figures of this edition was content creator Invictor, who became a close companion to hundreds of children who came to see him over the weekend

Planeta Gran Canaria closes today the doors of its most special edition. More than 35,000 people of all ages have chosen to celebrate with Infecar, Feria de Gran Canaria, the 25th anniversary of this emblematic family fair, a must-attend event of Christmas in Gran Canaria.

The Councillor for Economic Development, Industry, Trade and Craftsmanship, Minerva Alonso, highlighted the number of visitors at this edition, stating that it represents “the loyalty of the people of Gran Canaria during the Christmas period to this educational leisure fair and a meeting point for families across the island,” and reflects the affection island residents feel for an event that now has 25 years of history.
Over the nine days of the event, entire families have enjoyed a wide range of activities such as trampolines, paintball, escape rooms, interactive games and bumper cars—dozens of attractions that, together with themed workshops, board games and shows such as parades and theatre performances, have entertained children of all ages during the Christmas holidays.

Planeta Gran Canaria has spent 25 years offering families in Gran Canaria the opportunity to share leisure time and learning in a space full of fun, excitement and the fantasy typical of this festive season. In addition to the usual attractions, this year also featured special activities to celebrate its silver anniversary, such as a football experience developed in collaboration with the UD Las Palmas Football School.
As a special action to mark the 25th anniversary, Infecar gave each visitor a sticker book so they could place one of the stickers on a large number “25” installed in Pavilion 7, leaving their mark on the celebration of this special anniversary and on the history of Planeta Gran Canaria as a whole.

During the final weekend, children also had the chance to meet one of the most successful content creators among young audiences, YouTuber Invictor, who shared interactive games and fun stories with his followers.
The Infecar Conference Centre also hosted Superabuela with her family show With Love, Everything Is Better, as well as the family theatre productions The Magic Book of Stories and Around the World. Before and after the performances, hundreds of children explored the venue in search of the most exciting attractions, the most creative workshops and the most entertaining games.

In addition to outdoor activities, creative workshops, digital experiences and shows, families were able to make the most of their visit by recharging in the food and rest areas before continuing to enjoy the fair.
With 25 years as part of Christmas on the island, Planeta Gran Canaria has once again proven to be an essential fair for island residents who not only seek entertainment during the school holidays, but also value quality time and sharing special moments with family and friends. The fair continues to attract adults who attended 25 years ago with their parents and who now bring their own children to enjoy an event deeply rooted in local tradition and filled with fond memories for families in Gran Canaria.

Planeta Gran Canaria is an event promoted and funded by the Cabildo of Gran Canaria and organised by Infecar, Feria de Gran Canaria, with Fundación DISA, El Corte Inglés, Fred Olsen Express and Dormitorum as sponsors, and Cajasiete as the official partner.
