Tradition comes to life at the Gran Canaria San Telmo Craft Fair, offering unique and distinctive handcrafted pieces

More than one hundred artisans will showcase their handcrafted, original and tradition-rich pieces at this new edition.

Open from 2 to 5 January, the fair offers an excellent opportunity to purchase authentic items, ideal as Three Kings’ Day gifts.

The 31st edition of the Gran Canaria San Telmo Craft Fair returns on 2 January to the city’s historic park, marking the start of the year with an exhibition of the work of over one hundred artisans from across the island. Through their creations, they invite visitors to celebrate Three Kings’ Day with unique, one-of-a-kind pieces rooted in tradition.
From 2 to 5 January, professionals from various municipalities will take advantage of the festive season to present the work they have developed over recent months, sharing their most special creations with both local visitors and tourists. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase items whose originality, authenticity and quality make them truly distinctive.

This year, a total of 106 artisans from 17 municipalities will take part, promoting their products and explaining their working methods, the materials they use and the dedication behind each handcrafted piece. Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is the municipality with the highest number of participants (41), followed by Telde (14); Agüimes (9); Valsequillo, Santa Brígida and Moya (5 artisans each); and Santa Lucía and Ingenio (4 each). Santa María de Guía, Firgas and Arucas contribute three artisans each, while Teror, San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Mogán and Agaete are represented by two artisans per municipality. La Vega de San Mateo and Gáldar each take part with one artisan.

Pottery, basketry, knife-making, ceramics, jewellery, forging, wool spinning, footwear production and many other crafts will once again be represented at this central location in the capital of Gran Canaria. In total, 32 different crafts will be showcased, 11 of them traditional trades practiced by 21 artisans, all reflecting the roots and identity of the island. In parallel, the Fair will feature a varied musical programme, with groups and solo artists providing live performances throughout the venue.

After 30 successful editions, the Fair once again becomes not only the island’s main platform for the promotion and sale of local crafts, but also a valuable opportunity to recognise the quality and dedication behind the work of artisans associated with the Fund for Ethnography and the Development of Canarian Craftsmanship (FEDAC).

The Fair will be open from 2 to 4 January 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and on 5 January 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Full information about the participating artisans and the accompanying programme of activities will be available at feriasartesaniagrancanaria.es.

Promoted by the Island Council of Gran Canaria through FEDAC, the Gran Canaria San Telmo Craft Fair is organised by INFECAR, Feria de Gran Canaria, with the collaboration of the City Council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
