Infecar hosts in May the 12th Gran Canaria Me Gusta Fair, a reference event for local products and gastronomy

  • The fair expects to bring together more than 80 companies, producers, and entities at Infecar, with a complete program of activities, tastings, and workshops for all audiences.
  • The previous edition attracted more than 13,000 people looking for unique gastronomic experiences and zero-kilometer products.

Local products and the island’s gastronomy will again take center stage at the Gran Canaria Me Gusta Fair, which will return from May 9 to 11 at Infecar, Gran Canaria Fair, as the great showcase for the primary sector.

In its 12th edition and with the slogan ‘Local product, unique identity’, the fair continues to give visibility to the primary sector and promote the consumption of zero-kilometer products, in addition to offering unique experiences through exhibitions, tastings, and activities for lovers of local products and innovative and disruptive gastronomic proposals.

For this edition, 38 companies, entities, and municipal councils have already registered as exhibitors. They will have the opportunity to show and market their products directly to visitors, share their work, and demonstrate their commitment to quality, sustainability, and innovation. The deadline to participate as an exhibitor remains open, and those interested can formalize their registration at the Gran Canaria Me Gusta Fair.

Producers of artisanal jams, cheeses, ice creams, nougats, breads, and beers will share space with salt and strawberry growers, among others, and large retail stores. The municipal councils of Agüimes, Ingenio, Moya, Santa María de Guía, Telde, Tejeda, Valleseco, and Valsequillo have registered so far, as have industrial processing companies that help boost the island’s economy.

Indeed, the Gran Canaria Me Gusta Fair will once again feature the participation of the Canary Islands Industrial Association (Asinca), which reinforces the fundamental role of the local food industry as an economic driver and as a guarantor of the transformation of the island’s primary products.

As every year, the fair will also be a meeting point for producers, gastronomy professionals, and consumers. They will be able to enjoy a program that highlights the flavors and traditions of Gran Canaria and their adaptation to new culinary trends.

The Gran Canaria Me Gusta Fair is promoted and financed by the Cabildo of Gran Canaria and organized by Infecar. Likewise, SPAR Gran Canaria, Alcampo, and El Corte Inglés are sponsors; Comercial Naranjo is an equipment sponsor; Cajasiete is an official collaborator; and Gran Canaria Me Gusta, through the Gran Canaria Chamber of Commerce, is a collaborator.
