Local businesses are already preparing for the 26th edition of Fisaldo, the Fair of Opportunities, which this year moves to a new venue: the Agüimes Exhibition Centre.

The President of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Antonio Morales, encouraged the public to attend this event, which is not only “an opportunity for families”, but also for the island’s retail businesses. “We are talking about an initiative designed to boost local commerce and help businesses clear stock from the previous season,” he said.

Fisaldo not only gives visitors the chance to find unique opportunities; for businesses, it is also an ideal occasion to sell products from previous seasons that would otherwise remain stored in their shops.

From 3 to 7 June, visitors to this new edition of the fair will be able to enjoy the offers and discounts of 71 small and medium-sized businesses, six more than in the previous edition. They will offer fashion, homeware, entertainment, sports, cosmetics, electronics, decoration and many other products, including second-hand vehicles.

“I am sure we will increase the number of people attending the fair,” said the President, who recalled that, in addition to shopping, this major commercial showcase will also include musical performances, a children’s play area and a food court where visitors can take a break during their day of shopping.

This year, several groups will provide entertainment during the fair. Los Salvapantallas will perform on Friday, 5 June, at 6:00 p.m., with their tribute to the most fun music of recent decades. Canarian trombonist Stefan Navarro will perform different genres, from pop to Latin music and jazz, on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 June at 2:00 p.m. The group Fijo Discontinuo will bring their rock and pop classics from the 1970s on Saturday, 6 June, at 5:00 p.m.

In addition, Infecar, Feria de Gran Canaria, will hold several prize draws for 100 euros in Fisaldo Money, with a total of 30 gift vouchers that can be redeemed for purchases at the businesses taking part in the fair, except in the food court and for motoring items.

Advance prize draws will be held until 28 May, with five 100-euro Fisaldo Money prizes drawn among all tickets sold up to 11:59 p.m. on the day before each draw. There will also be prize draws during the fair, from 3 to 7 June. All tickets scanned at the entrance to the venue will be automatically entered into these draws. During the fair, 100 euros in Fisaldo Money will be drawn twice a day.

The names of all the winners will be published on www.fisaldo.es, where tickets are already available at the symbolic price of 1.50 euros. Admission is free for children under 12, unemployed people, pensioners, retired people and people with disabilities, provided they show the corresponding accreditation.

Promoted and funded by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and organised by Infecar, Feria de Gran Canaria, Fisaldo has Cajasiete as its official partner, with the collaboration of Agüimes Town Council.
