- The International Sea Fair (Fimar) celebrates its 14th edition from June 6 to 8, 2025, gathering businesses and organizations from the marine, maritime, port, and nautical sectors, as well as aquatic sports, public institutions, and researchers, at the Sanapú dock in the port area of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Fimar 2025 is already preparing its exhibition offerings, aiming to showcase the full strength of the Blue Economy in the Canary Islands. From the private and public sectors to the scientific and research communities of the Archipelago, this edition will revolve around the oceans—their evolution, and their key role in driving the region’s economic development.
Exhibitor registration is now open for companies and institutions wishing to participate in this significant event. Registration can be completed via the official Fimar website’s exhibitor form link.
Fimar 2025 is promoted by the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, the City Council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and the Port Authority of Las Palmas. It is organized by the City of Sea department of the capital’s municipality in collaboration with Infecar, Feria de Gran Canaria.
Key Sectors
As a benchmark forum for the Blue Economy in the Canary Islands, Fimar aims to bring together supply and demand across key sectors, including boating and suppliers, water-based leisure and sports, marine and maritime industries, the port environment, and nautical fashion. The fair serves as an ideal platform for strengthening business relationships and generating new opportunities while providing the public with direct access to a wide range of services and products.
At the same time, Fimar is a hub for showcasing the work carried out by public administrations and sea-related organizations, including promoting coastal municipalities throughout the Canary Islands.
The fair also plays an important educational role, welcoming academic institutions and marine researchers who contribute significantly to the understanding and preservation of the marine environment in the Canary Islands.
The central theme of Fimar 2025 will be the sustainability of the Canary coastline, highlighting the importance of preserving coastal ecosystems while promoting environmentally responsible economic development, which is key to the islands’ present and future.
A Fair for Professionals and the Public
Fimar remains a free public event and draws widespread interest every year, both from professionals and companies in the Blue Economy and from the broader public.
Each edition features a range of attractions that engage thousands of visitors, including exhibitions, water-based activities open to public participation, and guided tours—by bus or boat—through the port area of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Fimar 2025 will also include its traditional gastronomic zone and a dedicated children’s area, inviting families to enjoy the event experience in Sanapú.
The fair returns to the exact location as its successful 2024 edition, which welcomed more than 14,000 attendees.
The official Fimar website, Fimar, Feria Internacional del Mar, provides further details and the whole event program, which will be published soon.
