ExpoBienestar Canarias returns on September 26 and 27 to Infecar to address people’s well-being in the business environment. Under the theme “Corporate Wellbeing: Transforming Workplace Culture”, the ninth edition of this event will provide attendees with tools that enable organizations to care for the well-being of their teams—a key factor in fostering talent development, boosting motivation, strengthening engagement, and ultimately contributing to organizational growth.

Focusing on people’s commitment and motivation, as well as organizational and workplace culture and climate, corporate well-being has become a strategic priority for companies in recent years. Increasingly, they seek methods to tackle issues stemming from mental health challenges, lack of digital disconnection, or difficulties in balancing work and family life, among others.

In this regard, ExpoBienestar Canarias will explore key topics in corporate well-being, such as mental health—linked to the emotional, social, and intrapersonal well-being of employees; emotional intelligence—which helps people manage anxiety and adapt to a constantly changing world; and digital well-being—learning to use technology efficiently and healthily, without fostering dependency or isolation. The forum will also address holistic well-being in the workplace, meaning a comprehensive approach that covers all aspects of life (physical, mental, emotional, social, and financial health, professional development, and community connection), as well as the necessary balance between personal and professional life.

To delve deeper into these topics, ExpoBienestar Canarias will feature top-level speakers this year. On September 27, during a day of informative talks hosted by Canarian actress, dancer, and presenter Yaiza Guimaré, clinical psychologist Rafael Santandreu will speak about mental health. He will be followed by César Martín, president of the Spanish National Commission for the Rationalization of Working Hours (ARHOE) and specialist in humanistic leadership of corporate cultures, who will discuss work-life balance.

At 12:00 p.m., Elsa Punset—one of the leading figures in promoting emotional intelligence as a tool for intelligent optimism—will give a talk on the subject. Later, biochemists and nutritionists Elena Pérez and María Hernández-Alcalá, founders of Futurlife21, will explain the scientific and biochemical relationship between food and the body’s functioning. To close the program, Marc Masip, psychologist specializing in technological addictions and popular science communicator, will provide the necessary guidelines for achieving digital well-being.

On the previous day, September 26, several workshops and talks will take place throughout the day. Nutrition and cancer specialist Stephanie Degner will give a talk entitled “Mindful Eating: What You Can Do Every Day to Take Care of Your Health.” Meanwhile, coaches Verónica Reyes and Leticia Robaina will invite participants in their workshop to “re-discover themselves” through “Personal Transformation Through Strategic Coaching and Image.”

In the afternoon, leadership expert Fayna Betancor will help attendees use their personal leadership to transform their environment. She will be followed by Rubén Rubio, specialist in exercise and cancer, who will encourage participants to activate their health with strategies for a more active life, and Beatriz Uche, a coach specializing in couples, who will teach how to prevent professional demands from harming personal relationships (and vice versa).

On September 27, Agapea Bookstore will provide a book sales stand where speakers can sign copies of their publications for attendees.

To participate in the September 26 workshops, tickets must be purchased through the event website www.expobienestar.es at a price of €4 per workshop, except for the talks by Stephanie Degner and Rubén Rubio, which are free of charge. The price for the full program on September 27 is €10.

ExpoBienestar Canarias is an event promoted and funded by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and organized by Infecar, Feria de Gran Canaria, with the collaboration of CajaSiete and Agapea Bookstore.
