Movelec

Electric mobility gathers at Infecar from October 18 to 20 with Movelec.

The eighth edition of this Electric Vehicle Show of the Canary Islands presents diverse presentations focused on the sector.

Everything is ready for next weekend, October 18, 19, and 20, when Infecar, the Gran Canaria Fairgrounds, will host the eighth edition of Movelec, the Electric Vehicle Show of the Canary Islands. This event is a crucial space for the electric and sustainable mobility sector, offering visitors the latest innovations in this industry.

This morning, Minerva Alonso, the Councillor for Economic Development, Industry, Commerce, and Crafts of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, and Natalia Santana, the General Director of Infecar, Gran Canaria Fairgrounds, presented all the new features of this event to the media.

“Once again, Movelec aims to showcase the environmental and cost-saving benefits of using electric vehicles, promote the available incentives for acquiring electric vehicles while encouraging their use, highlight the importance of achieving CO2-free populations and improving noise levels by developing the concept of an eco-island, and boost an emerging sector that will transform the concept of mobility in the 21st century,” said Minerva Alonso.

As a new feature compared to last year’s edition, Movelec is bringing back the Friday morning session. The exhibition will open on Friday, October 18, and Saturday, October 19, from 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, October 20, from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Moreover, this year, tickets will be free and can be acquired in advance at www.movelec-canarias.com or the venue’s ticket office.
Regarding the exhibition offer at this year’s Movelec, “the show will feature 26 exhibitors, including electric vehicles, service companies, and energy providers,” pointed out Natalia Santana.
This eighth edition of Movelec will also allow visitors to see how the automotive sector has evolved from its beginnings to today when electric mobility is a reality. Car Home Services will showcase iconic models, offering a glimpse into the evolution of automotive design and engineering.
