Gran Canaria, 19 October 2026. The Agüimes Trade Fair Centre will host the 15th edition of Canagua y Energía on 21 and 22 October, bringing together more than 60 companies and institutions in its exhibition area. Held every two years, this professional event returns to the Canary Islands events calendar with the aim of strengthening the archipelago’s position as an international reference for clean energy, sustainability and the energy transition.
The fair aims to foster new business opportunities and innovative models for generation, efficiency and the management of water and energy resources, while strengthening professional links and promoting a sustainable development model aligned with the Ecoisland concept and the goals of the 2030 Agenda.
The exhibition area will showcase solutions linked to energy, including solar and wind power, self-consumption, storage and energy efficiency, as well as solutions for the water sector covering irrigation, conveyance, transport and storage. The fair will also feature proposals related to engineering, operation and maintenance, circular economy, efficient buildings, urban monitoring and sustainable mobility, among many other areas.
Another of the main highlights will be the conferences and round tables held over the two days, bringing together professionals and specialists to discuss the key challenges and opportunities in water management and the energy transition, as well as cooperation between the energy and water sectors.
On Wednesday 21 October, the conferences and round tables will focus on the integration of renewable energy in island territories, energy storage, agrivoltaics, energy communities and new generation and consumption models. On Thursday 22 October, the programme will look in greater depth at smart energy management, floating solar photovoltaic systems, cybersecurity and the protection of water infrastructure, as well as water reuse and adaptation to the new regulatory framework.
Canagua y Energía will also provide spaces for B2B meetings, knowledge exchange and new collaboration opportunities, together with an area for 15-minute presentations of innovative solutions. At the Speakers’ Corner, around thirty companies and organisations will have the opportunity to present their latest developments, products and services to attendees.
The fair will also host the Canagua y Energía 2026 Recognitions, which aim to highlight initiatives and professional careers that contribute to innovation, conservation and the efficient use of resources. Promoted by the Gran Canaria Island Energy Council and the Gran Canaria Island Water Council, the distinctions will be presented in two categories: Sustainability and Energy and Sustainability and Water.
Free tickets, the full programme of conferences and presentations, the list of exhibiting companies and the platform for arranging B2B meetings are all available on the official event website: canagua.es.
Canagua y Energía is promoted by the Gran Canaria Island Council, through the Gran Canaria Island Energy Council and the Gran Canaria Island Water Council, and organised by Infecar, Feria de Gran Canaria.
