The 23rd edition of the ‘Fisaldo’ Opportunities Fair opens with 63 exhibitors and the best prices.

– The programme includes fashion catwalks, musical performances and a sizeable gastronomic area.

– From today, Wednesday to Sunday, 4 June, Fisaldo offers quality products for sale at exceptional prices.

With a total of 63 exhibitors, fashion catwalks, live performances and a sizeable gastronomic area, the 23rd edition of Fisaldo, the Fair of Opportunities, has opened its doors at Infecar, with a large number of visitors on its opening day and the best prices in fashion, beauty, home or entertainment.

The fair was inaugurated today, 31 May. It will be open in halls 5, 6 and 7, high and low, until Sunday, 4 June, in an edition that expects to recover the usual figures after several years of restrictions due to the pandemic.

Fisaldo will once again become the meeting point for small and medium-sized businesses in Gran Canaria, which will have the opportunity over five days to release part of their stock, offering visitors good products at reduced prices, in an annual event promoted and financed by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and organised by Infecar.

The fair will be open non-stop from 10.00 to 20.30, with tickets on sale both on the website www.fisaldo.es and at the venue’s ticket offices for 1.50 euros for the general public and accessible for the unemployed, pensioners, people with disabilities and children under 12 years of age, who must prove their condition at the entrance.

The technical coordinator of Economic Development, Energy Sovereignty, Climate and Knowledge of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Raúl García Brink, has celebrated the opening of Fisaldo, which in this 23rd edition once again becomes “an opportunity for all citizens”, who will be able to “take advantage of the bargain and find that product from last season at a much lower price”. Also, he said, “an opportunity for entrepreneurs to free up product in stock” at one of the most popular fairs in Infecar.

“We are sure that we are going to have a large number of visitors”, he said during the first few hours of the fair, which, as he pointed out, includes “concerts by various groups, such as Los Salvapantallas or Los Lola and the wit of the comedian Omayra Cazorla”, among other proposals.

The technical coordinator also recalled that the number of exhibitors translates into “a high level of response from the business community”, which predicts “an influx of visitors, similar or even greater than in previous editions of the pandemic”.

Fisaldo 2023 will also be an opportunity for international trade and to create synergies with entrepreneurs from other countries. For example, the director of the Department of Domestic Trade of the Chamber of Commerce of Gran Canaria, Ramón Redondo, has informed us that a group of around 30 businessmen from Cape Verde is already on the island “who have come to visit the fair to get to know it and reach commercial agreements with the businessmen participating in Fisaldo 2023”.

In addition, to make the most of this visit, the Cape Verdean businessmen will have B2B (business to business) meetings to “reach purchase agreements in Cape Verde” with representatives from various business sectors such as textiles, perfumery and transport.

“It is a fairly heterogeneous group of entrepreneurs who seek to formalise business contacts and, above all, learn from the experience” that “has been very profitable and has driven large purchases to send to Cape Verde”. Ramón Redondo pointed out that this reverse mission will also delve into the incentives for setting up in Gran Canaria and the advantages of purchasing from the Canary Islands to Cape Verde.

Fashion catwalks, raffles and live music

As part of the activities planned for Fisaldo 2023, the popular Fisaldo Catwalk returns, where you can see live products on sale at the different exhibitors with adult and children’s models. The timetable for these catwalks, which will take place in Hall 5, will be Wednesday at 6 pm; Thursday and Friday at 5 pm; Saturday at 1 pm and 5 pm; and Sunday at 1 pm. Also back for another year are the Fisaldo Money draws, held three times daily from Wednesday to Saturday and twice on Sunday, with 28 lucky winners.

In addition, Fisaldo comes with significant new features in its commitment to entertainment, which seeks to consolidate the fair as an event for the whole family. In this 23rd edition, Fisaldo’s programme includes comedy and musical performances, which energise the event, with proposals for all tastes to be enjoyed in the gastronomic area between pavilions.

Highlights include a performance on Thursday, 1 June, from 6 pm, by the comedian Omayra Cazorla and live Spanish rock music by Los Lola on Friday, 2, at 6 pm. On Saturday 3, it will be the turn of saxophonist Juan Martín and, from 6 pm onwards, Los Salvapantallas.

The 23rd edition of Fisaldo, the Fair of Opportunities, is promoted and financed by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and organised by Infecar, with Cajasiete as an official partner and the Chamber of Commerce of Gran Canaria as a collaborator.
