- The event bids farewell this weekend after nine days of activities, workshops, attractions and performances for all ages
- Superabuela and content creator Invictor will headline the final two days of this fair, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year
Planeta Gran Canaria is entering the final stretch of its 25th edition. More than 22,000 people have already attended this fair promoted by the Cabildo of Gran Canaria and organised by Infecar, Feria de Gran Canaria, to enjoy a programme of activities designed to share quality family time during the Christmas holidays.
Trampolines, paintball, football, super jumping, bumper cars, workshops and board games, parades and theatre, inflatable castles, interactive games, escape rooms, puppets… Children who have already visited this iconic fair have wasted no time moving from one attraction to the next, having their faces painted, playing, learning and, in between, resting and grabbing a bite to eat in the food area set up at the venue before continuing the fun.
Planeta Gran Canaria is not only a fantastic opportunity for children to take part in activities that are not usually part of their daily lives; it is also the perfect occasion to share time and enjoyment with close family, cousins and friends, spending several hours together in a magical world full of excitement and imagination.
Families move from one activity to another, encountering fantastic characters strolling around the venue and transporting children into imaginative and entertaining worlds. At certain moments, theatre performances held at the Congress Palace offer a short break for parents who patiently follow their children from attraction to attraction.
After a week full of activities, the event is preparing to close this special edition with a programme that, year after year, has become one of the main Christmas meeting points in Gran Canaria. During these final days, families can continue to enjoy the different themed areas of the venue, organised into “planets”, combining outdoor activities, creative workshops, digital experiences and family shows. In addition, food and rest areas allow visitors to spend the entire day at the fair, the most emblematic Christmas event, which will close its doors next Sunday, 4 January. Until then, Planeta Gran Canaria will remain open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
In addition to the exciting attractions, engaging workshops and entertaining theatre performances, which already encourage island families to make the most of the final days of this family fair, the closing weekend will also feature a very special event: a show by the popular content creator Invictor, taking place on 3 and 4 January at 12:00 p.m. The YouTuber, a role model for thousands of children, will offer a lively encounter full of action, humour and participation, sharing experiences with young audiences and encouraging an interest in reading.
At 5:00 p.m. today, the final family performance by Superabuela, “Con amor todo es mejor” (“With love, everything is better”), will also take place — a concert designed to enjoy as a family, sing, dance and train your superpowers to the rhythm of pop, rock, rumba and other musical styles.
General admission tickets can still be purchased via the website https://planetagrancanaria.es/ or at the venue box office, priced at €5 per person, or €6.50 if, in addition to enjoying the fair, visitors wish to attend the Invictor show. As every year, Infecar offers discounted ticket packages and free admission for certain groups, such as unemployed people, pensioners, people with disabilities, and children under the age of three.
Planeta Gran Canaria is an event promoted and funded by the Cabildo of Gran Canaria and organised by Infecar, Feria de Gran Canaria, with sponsorship from Fundación DISA, El Corte Inglés, Fred Olsen Express and Dormitorum, and with Cajasiete as official partner.
