Infecar’s 2022 closing is evidence of the normalization of the trade fair and events sector.

The recovery of normality in the trade fair and congress sector is already a reality. After the uncertainty of the last two years, the recently concluded 2022 has allowed fairs and events to gradually return to the participation figures of before the health pandemic.

In addition, the consolidation of the digital scenario has made it possible to bring the annual calendar closer to those people who cannot attend Infecar in person, making the trade fair activity have a wider range of options adapted to all audiences.

With all this, in 2022, Infecar has held a total of nine fairs and events of its own, with 325 exhibitors and the attendance of 74,239 visitors.

Making an exhaustive review of each of them, we began the 2022 calendar with the celebration of the tenth edition of Canarias Comunica, the Canary Islands Communication Forum, which in February analyzed the transformation that advertising has undergone, the most important additions to it in form and substance, and the monitoring of trends in society to achieve more effective development, with the help of Presidentex.

The second edition of ExpoAgro Canarias took place in the same month, in an event that was marked by technology and innovation in the primary sector. More than 1,700 professional visitors took part in this Innovation Fair in the Primary Sector, which brought together 40 exhibiting companies.

Self-care and emotional health brought together more than 250 people at ExpoBienestar Canarias in March. This connecting space was attended by Margarita Álvarez, Enric Lladó, Andrea Vilallonga, Boticaria García, Alberto Soler and Patri Ramírez.

In April, nearly 7,500 visitors demonstrated Gran Canaria’s commitment to its local products at the ninth edition of the Gran Canaria Me Gusta Fair. Our fairground hosted more than fifty exhibitors and eight producers’ associations, which complemented the direct sale of the product with a carefully planned program of activities.

May was once again the month chosen for the annual appointment with the nautical and marine-maritime sector. The eleventh edition of Fimar, the International Marine Fair, brought together almost 17,000 visitors around the blue economy and sustainable development in the sea.

Fisaldo, the Fair of Opportunities, returned in June, celebrating 22 years of a proposal that has been a huge success among the population and the small and medium-sized businesses of the island of Gran Canaria and whose main objective is to stimulate local trade. In total there were 64 exhibiting companies and more than 20,000 visitors.

Sustainability was the protagonist of the surf industry debate in the fourth edition of the Gran Canaria Blue Economy Forum, which took place in October, opening the calendar of events for the final stretch of the year. Business development opportunities, new sources of employment, fashion or communication were some of the topics covered in this space.

In the same month, the sixth edition of Movelec showed the change of trend in the sector. The Canary Islands Electric Vehicle Show closed its doors with a balance of more than 2,000 visitors, who were able to check the performance of the latest models of electric vehicles, as well as learn first-hand about trends in the electric mobility sector.

The 13th edition of the International Fair Canagua and Energy brought together more than 2,000 visitors in November, positioning itself as the reference event in the islands. Over the course of three days, professionals and the general public discovered the products and services of the 70 companies that took part in this edition.

At the end of November, Animundo, the Companion Animal Fair, concluded its fifth edition with an emphasis on responsible pet ownership. More than 2,000 people came to Infecar over the weekend to show their commitment to the animal world.

After two years, the finishing touch to the year was provided by Planeta Gran Canaria, which gave back the illusion to almost 30,000 people in its 22nd edition. For seven days, our venue became the epicenter of fun for the families of Gran Canaria, who enjoyed a unique space for recreational and educational leisure.
