- The 26th Fair of Opportunities will remain open until this Sunday at the Agüimes Exhibition Centre
- In addition to shopping, visitors will be able to enjoy several musical performances and a food area where they can take a break
The 26th edition of Fisaldo, the Fair of Opportunities, enters its final weekend at the Agüimes Exhibition Centre, with thousands of attractive offers and discounts still available for the island’s families.
Around 70 local businesses have taken advantage of these days of fair activity to raise their visibility and put on sale many products from previous seasons which, otherwise, would have remained stored in their shops. They have done so with lower-than-usual prices and offers that families across the island have used to purchase all kinds of items.
In its first days, more than 8,000 people have already walked through the fair’s aisles in search of the best opportunities in fashion, decoration, sportswear, technology and much more. But before Fisaldo closes its doors this Sunday, the small and medium-sized businesses taking part in the event still have plenty to offer throughout the weekend: clothing and footwear, jewellery and cosmetics, small household appliances, mattresses and sofas, second-hand vehicles and motoring items.
Children can also enjoy Fisaldo in their own way, as the fair has set up an area especially for boys and girls aged between 3 and 12. There, they will be able to play, do crafts and bring their most innovative ideas to life. The children’s play area will be open this afternoon from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and from 10:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. during the weekend.
In addition to the commercial showcase, Fisaldo has also organised several musical performances, starting this Friday at 6:00 p.m. with the best cover versions by Los Salvapantallas. On Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 June, at 2:00 p.m., it will be the turn of Canarian trombonist Stefan Navarro, who will take audiences through different genres. To close the programme of performances, on Saturday at 5:00 p.m., the group Fijo Discontinuo will reinterpret rock and pop classics from the 1970s.
Fisaldo will also include a food area, with several food truck options available every day from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., as well as a café, which will remain open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The daily prize draws for 100 euros in Dinero Fisaldo, held twice a day, will also continue throughout the weekend. All visitors entering the venue will still be automatically entered into the draws. The gift vouchers can be redeemed for purchases at the establishments taking part in the fair, except in the food area and for motoring items.
The winners of the prize draws will be published on www.fisaldo.es, where tickets for the weekend are still available at the symbolic price of 1.50 euros. Admission to the fair is free for children under 12, unemployed people, pensioners, retired people and people with disabilities, provided they show the corresponding accreditation.
Promoted and funded by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and organised by Infecar, Feria de Gran Canaria, Fisaldo has Cajasiete as its official partner, with the collaboration of Agüimes Town Council.
