Gran Canaria, in Maspalomas, will host the Global Sustainable Islands Summit 2026 from 20 to 22 April. Promoted by Island Innovation in collaboration with the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, the international event will take place at Expomeloneras.
The summit will bring together institutional representatives, companies and researchers from island territories across the Pacific, the Caribbean, Africa and Europe to address some of the main shared challenges facing islands, including sustainability, the blue economy, sustainable tourism and climate action. Its aim is to foster knowledge exchange and build practical partnerships that can have a real impact on the future of these territories.
