One month before opening its doors, Planeta Gran Canaria has announced the dates of its most special edition yet. This year, Gran Canaria’s ultimate family festival celebrates its 25th anniversary from 26 December to 4 January, reaffirming its status as one of the island’s most cherished meeting points.
Since its beginnings in the late 1990s, Planeta Gran Canaria has aimed to offer a space where families can enjoy dozens of educational and entertaining activities during these special dates. And that goal has been more than achieved. Over these 25 years, Planeta Gran Canaria has watched many of the island’s children grow up—children who would excitedly kick off their Christmas holidays with an event created especially for them, where the activities were even more fun because they were shared with siblings, cousins or friends they met along the way.
Today, many of those children are now parents themselves and are experiencing that same excitement through the eyes of their children, whom Planeta Gran Canaria will continue to surprise. This Christmas more than ever, Infecar, Feria de Gran Canaria, will once again be transformed into a large play area where fun, learning and excitement will create the playground to dream of Christmas magic.
Creative and educational workshops, children’s theatre, inflatables, multi-adventure areas, Pequelandia for the youngest members of the family… Planeta Gran Canaria offers a wide programme of activities to enjoy as a family during the school holidays. But this year, there will also be major new features to celebrate this special edition: more space for sports activities, musical performances for young children starring Superabuela, a driving simulator, and a show by YouTuber and content creator Invictor, one of the founding members of Los Compas, among many other surprises.
Planeta Gran Canaria will also feature rest and dining areas so that families can make the most of the fair. And to ensure that all children can fully enjoy every activity, Infecar will once again adapt the experiences to meet the needs of minors who require special attention.
