Innovation experts and nearly fifty companies lead business digitalisation at DigiON Canarias

Infecar, Feria de Gran Canaria is preparing to host around fifty technology companies that will take part as exhibitors in the fourth edition of DigiON Canarias, which will be held on 19 and 20 March.

During the event, participating companies will find in DigiON the ideal platform to showcase their products and services to professionals and visitors interested in discovering tools and solutions to modernise and digitally transform their businesses.

In addition, the Canary Islands Business Digitalisation Trade Fair is positioned as a key meeting point for establishing contacts and strategic relationships and generating real business opportunities through B2B meetings, which can already be scheduled via the event’s official website www.digion-canarias.es. On this website, visitors can access the profiles of the professionals participating in this fourth edition of the event and arrange meetings, as well as register free of charge to attend a comprehensive programme of keynote speeches, debates and workshops with specialists in technological innovation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and experts addressing the challenges of today’s digital environment.

Programme highlights

The programme on 19 March will begin with a keynote by María Aperador, CEO and founder of BeValk, who will address conscious leadership in the age of artificial intelligence. Her vision on how more human-centred decision-making can enhance complex environments shaped by intelligent technologies will be followed by the day’s practical workshops.

First, Yunior González, CEO and AI Wizard at SQUAADS, will create a startup with the help of the audience and artificial intelligence. Afterwards, entrepreneur and AI communicator Pau García-Milà will present some of the most practical AI and Data Analytics tools for analysing emerging markets.

Ingrid González, Head of Data Protection and Digital Law; Angélica Darias, Business Development and Legal Compliance Coordinator at Proyectran; and Jeimy Poveda, technology law specialist and Managing Partner of Dataseg, will take part in the round table discussion “Regulation, Ethics and the AI Act”, exploring how regulation affects startups and emerging industries.

To close the first day, David Delgado, Head of Cybersecurity at Edataconsulting, will explain how corporate AI can be both a powerful ally and, at the same time, the most silent threat; while Raúl Ordóñez, AI trainer and communicator, will demonstrate how to create AI assistants to enhance learning and productivity.

On the same day, the panel discussion “Humans + AI: Creativity, Ethics and Well-being in the Workplace” will bring together Mélida López, CEO of Kanzo Tech; Maica Amador, CEO and co-founder of Sparkling Tech Solutions and researcher at IUCES-ULPGC; and Ángel Gutiérrez, CEO and CPO of Catalyst Tools, to discuss the relationship between innovation, ethical responsibility and working conditions in the digital era.

AI communicator Carlos Santana will close the day and the conference programme with his talk “The Future of Artificial Intelligence Beyond the Hype.”

Thanks to the participation of exhibiting companies and speakers in this fourth edition, DigiON Canarias strengthens its role as a platform connecting companies, professionals and institutions, fostering strategic alliances that promote competitiveness, innovation and the digital transformation of the Canary Islands’ business ecosystem, while also facilitating knowledge exchange and learning with leading experts from across Spain.
