This was made clear at the sixth edition of the Canary Islands Electric Vehicle Show, Movelec, which closed its doors on Sunday 9 October with a total of more than 2,000 visitors. During these three days of exhibition, those who came to the Infecar exhibition centre were able to see the performance of the latest models of electric vehicles, as well as learn first-hand about the trends in the electric mobility sector.<\/p>\n<p>This edition of the Canary Islands Electric Vehicle Show was the most comprehensive to date, including cars, motorbikes, bicycles and electric scooters among the participating sectors, as well as a network of workshops and services and energy generating companies; but it also featured the first exhibition of 100% electric second-hand vehicles for sale, a circuit of unlicensed electric vehicles and a circuit of electric scooters.<\/p>\n<p>With all this, both exhibitors and visitors to Movelec agreed that the change of trend in the automotive sector is already a reality, as evidenced by the interest in electric models as the best option when purchasing a new vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>The technical coordinator for Economic Development, Energy Sovereignty, Climate and Knowledge of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Ra\u00fal Garc\u00eda Brink, said he was &#8220;satisfied with the results&#8221;. &#8220;In this sixth edition of Movelec we have had a very important presence of companies and dealers from all sectors related to electric mobility, from cars to scooters, bicycles and mopeds. In addition, the public has actively participated not only by viewing the vehicles exhibited by the exhibitors, but also by attending the talks and presentations of the informative programme of this edition, which has served to resolve doubts and learn first-hand about products and services&#8221;, he concluded.<\/p>\n<p>For her part, Natalia Santana, director of Infecar, highlighted the ever-increasing number of participants at this event &#8220;which has not only reached a record number of exhibitors, with 39 stands, but also the highest number of models on display with a total of 47. Furthermore, this interest has been backed up by the visitors who have come to the exhibition centre, with a large number of visitors over the three days of Movelec&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dissemination<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The programme of talks at this year&#8217;s Canary Islands Electric Vehicle Show on Sunday included Ernesto Guajardo de la Rosa, associate managing director of Patinetal\u00f3, who presented &#8216;The electric scooter: from toy to vehicle&#8217;. Jorge Gonz\u00e1lez, from 80% electric&#8217;, spoke about &#8216;The mechanics of the future: the electric car&#8217;, followed by Germ\u00e1n Hiller, AUVE Las Palmas delegate, to present &#8216;AUVE&#8230; shared knowledge for electric vehicle users&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Roberto Amor\u00edn, CEO of Canary Charger and co-founder of the solocochelectrico.es portal, presented &#8216;Solocochelectrico.es, the first exclusive portal for buying\/selling 100% electric cars&#8217;.
