{"id":8483,"date":"2022-09-14T12:46:46","date_gmt":"2022-09-14T12:46:46","guid":{"rendered":"\/en\/news\/"},"modified":"2023-03-21T11:52:28","modified_gmt":"2023-03-21T11:52:28","slug":"infecars-gran-canaria-conference-centre-hosts-the-8th-edition-of-the-international-congress-fiware-global-summit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"\/en\/news\/infecars-gran-canaria-conference-centre-hosts-the-8th-edition-of-the-international-congress-fiware-global-summit","title":{"rendered":"Infecar&#8217;s Gran Canaria Conference Centre hosts the 8th edition of the international congress &#8216;FIWARE Global Summit&#8217;."},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>Este evento internacional tendr\u00e1 lugar los d\u00edas 14 y 15 de septiembre en la capital grancanaria para mostrar las \u00faltimas innovaciones en tecnolog\u00edas como blockchain, inteligencia artificial, gemelos digitales, rob\u00f3tica y tecnolog\u00edas ligadas a la creaci\u00f3n de espacios y econom\u00eda de datos<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>T\u00e9cnicos de la SPEGC formar\u00e1n parte de las diferentes ponencias, adem\u00e1s de mostrar a los asistentes las distintas ventajas y recursos de Gran Canaria en el stand informativo de \u2018Best in Gran Canaria\u2019<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>El presidente del Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Antonio Morales, inaugur\u00f3 este 14 de septiembre en el Palacio de Congresos Gran Canaria de Infecar la 8\u00aa edici\u00f3n de <em>FIWARE Global Summit 2022<\/em>, un congreso internacional sobre transformaci\u00f3n digital que llega a Las Palmas de Gran Canaria gracias al apoyo de la Sociedad de Promoci\u00f3n Econ\u00f3mica de Gran Canaria (SPEGC) y la colaboraci\u00f3n de CidiHub, FIIHub e Innovalia.<\/p>\n<p>El director gerente de la SPEGC, Cosme Garc\u00eda Falc\u00f3n, acompa\u00f1\u00f3 al presidente insular durante la inauguraci\u00f3n de este evento que tendr\u00e1 lugar los d\u00edas 14 y 15 de septiembre tras celebrarse en ciudades como Berl\u00edn, Oporto o M\u00e1laga.<\/p>\n<p>Durante su discurso inaugural, Morales resalt\u00f3 que este encuentro \u201csit\u00faa a Gran Canaria en la ruta de destinos europeos que apuestan por convertirse en <em>hubs <\/em>de innovaci\u00f3n\u201d. \u201cDesde el Cabildo estamos apostando por la digitalizaci\u00f3n, por posicionar a Gran Canaria en el marco de isla inteligente, contando con profesionales altamente cualificados y con un nivel de colaboraci\u00f3n y de implicaci\u00f3n por parte de la Universidad muy importante\u201d, a\u00f1adi\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p><em>FIWARE Global Summit<\/em> atraer\u00e1 hasta Gran Canaria a m\u00e1s de 120 ponentes que compartir\u00e1n su experiencia con los principales actores del ecosistema <em>FIWARE <\/em>como son empresas, administraciones p\u00fablicas, profesionales, desarrolladores y usuarios.<\/p>\n<p>El evento adem\u00e1s contar\u00e1 con la exposici\u00f3n de diversos casos de uso sobre aplicaciones digitales inteligentes que mejorar\u00e1n la eficiencia de la gesti\u00f3n p\u00fablica de servicios, en diversos \u00e1mbitos. En esa l\u00ednea, Morales tambi\u00e9n aprovech\u00f3 su intervenci\u00f3n para poner en valor la apuesta firme del Cabildo de Gran Canaria por usar tecnolog\u00edas 4.0 y digitales, con el fin de facilitar nuevos servicios a los ciudadanos y generar informaci\u00f3n para la toma de decisiones.<\/p>\n<p>Por otro lado, el presidente de la Corporaci\u00f3n insular, destac\u00f3 que el Cabildo de Gran Canaria actualmente desarrolla proyectos que se centran en la administraci\u00f3n electr\u00f3nica, la gesti\u00f3n de incendios forestales y recursos hidr\u00e1ulicos, la eficiencia energ\u00e9tica y\u00a0 el sector tur\u00edstico. \u201cContamos con m\u00e1s de 20 proyectos, en los que ya se han invertido m\u00e1s de 20 millones de euros\u201d, precis\u00f3 Morales.<\/p>\n<p>El acto tambi\u00e9n cont\u00f3 con la presencia del CEO de <em>FIWARE Foundation<\/em>, Ulrich Ahle, que destac\u00f3 que actualmente cuentan con un ecosistema de m\u00e1s de 300 ciudades y m\u00e1s de 500 miembros. \u201cEspa\u00f1a est\u00e1 entre los cinco pa\u00edses l\u00edderes en Europa en la introducci\u00f3n de soluciones inteligentes y de c\u00f3digo abierto\u201d,\u00a0 explic\u00f3 Ahle, y a\u00f1adi\u00f3: \u201cDesde Gran Canaria se est\u00e1 apostando por la digitalizaci\u00f3n para el desarrollo de destinos y <em>smart cities<\/em>, pero adem\u00e1s resulta un destino estrat\u00e9gico, ya que supone una gran oportunidad para entrar al mercado africano y seguir impulsando el desarrollo de c\u00f3digo abierto y de nuevas soluciones inteligentes\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A strong presence of Gran Canaria and its digital ecosystem<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Economic Promotion Society of Gran Canaria will also take part in the different presentations, through its technicians, and will inform attendees about the different advantages and resources of Gran Canaria at the &#8216;Best in Gran Canaria&#8217; information stand, located in the exhibition and business networking area.<br \/>\nBusiness conferences, presentation of case studies and training sessions and plug sessions are other activities that will be added to the industrial connection and networking sessions of FIWARE 2022. In addition, Gran Canaria will be present at presentations on data use cases and best practices in tourism, within the framework of the Gran Canaria Inteligente initiative, as well as at a session on funding opportunities for digital projects, of great interest to the local public.<\/p>\n<p><strong>High-impact side events<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fiware Global Summit will also act as a driving force for other complementary initiatives linked to the use of open source. On the one hand, through the celebration of several training days on Fiware technology, meetings of European projects based on Fiware and, finally, an open day organised by the Spanish Government&#8217;s Data Office and the Spanish hub Gaia-X.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FIWARE Foundation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>FIWARE Foundation is a non-profit organisation, whose purpose together with its partners is the promotion and implementation of open source, fostering a sustainable business ecosystem stimulated by innovation.<br \/>\nMade up of more than 500 members, it includes companies such as Atos, Amazon Web Services, Telef\u00f3nica, Red Hat, Engineering, NEC and Trigyn Technologies, with a global presence in more than 50 countries.<br \/>\nThe FIWARE ecosystem also has 28 Fiware iHubs and 11 Fiware Lab Nodes and 10,000 professionals.
