The 15th edition of the International Sea Fair will be held at Muelle Sanap\u00fa from 22 to 24 May, in a new edition of this leading event for the marine, maritime and nautical sectors in the Canary Islands. Once again, the fair will also become a major attraction for leisure and family audiences, with a full programme of activities alongside exhibitor stands and a water area hosting a range of demonstrations and experiences at sea.<\/p>\n<p>Fimar is promoted by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council and Puertos de Las Palmas, and organised by Infecar, Feria de Gran Canaria, together with the City of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria\u2019s Department of Ciudad de Mar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>At Muelle Sanap\u00fa<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This new edition of the International Sea Fair will take place in the city\u2019s port area, next to Poema del Mar aquarium and the Onda Atl\u00e1ntica footbridge. It will focus on the theme\u00a0Outermost Regions and the Sea, highlighting the strategic role of these territories \u2014 such as the Canary Islands \u2014 in the development of the blue economy, marine innovation and Atlantic cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>These objectives have been at the heart of FImar since its launch, with the recurring participation of public administrations, academic institutions, sports federations and a wide representation of companies whose activity is directly linked to the ocean.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Exhibitor registration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In fact, the event\u2019s commercial offering has always been one of its main hallmarks, with strong participation from operators linked to nautical activities, boats, industry, sports and fashion. At Fimar, professionals and companies in the sector will have access to a specialised space to build contacts and share knowledge, foster business and growth opportunities, and present their full range of products and services directly to the public in the best possible setting.<br \/>\nThe organisers have already opened registration for exhibitors interested in taking part in this new edition of Fimar which can be accessed through the following link.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sharing knowledge about the oceans<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>True to its tradition, the fair will dedicate an important section to raising awareness and sharing knowledge related to the oceans and the blue economy. Work is already under way on a full programme of free talks and presentations aimed at the general public, with the participation of experts and specialists in different fields related to the sea. This will be complemented by technical sessions designed for more specific audiences, including working groups and workshops.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gran Canaria Starlight Destination<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As for the themes inspiring these outreach activities in 2026, particular relevance has been given to\u00a0Gran Canaria as a Starlight Destination. In other words, the island\u2019s qualities as an ideal place for observing the night sky. This is an appealing feature both for local residents and for travellers visiting the archipelago. Accordingly, Fimar\u2019s programme will highlight the connection between sea, sky and environmental protection, with a strong focus on sustainability.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A space for family leisure<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The leisure programme of the International Sea Fair will be rounded out with a series of nautical activities, an exhibition area and children\u2019s activities, in a line-up that attracts thousands of people to the venue every year.
