These in-house events attracted 88,039 visitors, while the external activity hosted at the Congress Palace saw 63 events attended by 35,000 people.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"556\" data-end=\"1033\">This semester\u2019s results \u201chighlight Infecar\u2019s effort and commitment to offer a diverse, up-to-date program aligned with the island\u2019s interests. Not only does it boost the local economy and create opportunities for our productive sectors, but it also helps build community,\u201d said Minerva Alonso, the Councillor for Economic Development, Industry, Commerce, and Crafts of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria. \u201cInfecar is proving to be a lively, useful, and approachable space,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1035\" data-end=\"1267\">As for proprietary events, Infecar kicked off the year with the 30th Gran Canaria Craft Fair, a traditional gathering held in Plaza de San Telmo, where a hundred professionals showcased their trades and sold their handmade products.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1269\" data-end=\"1453\">Craftsmanship returned in March with the 14th Spring South Gran Canaria Craft Fair, held near the Maspalomas Lighthouse, which brought together over 70 artisans from 15 municipalities.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1455\" data-end=\"1662\">Meanwhile, the 2nd Ecoislas International Forum, held at the end of January, attracted hundreds of professionals to discuss the need for a greener, more self-sufficient, and sustainable socio-economic model.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1664\" data-end=\"1949\"><strong data-start=\"1664\" data-end=\"1683\">DigiON Canarias<\/strong>, the Canary Islands Business Digitalization Fair held in April, also brought together hundreds of professionals eager to exchange experiences about digital transformation and learn from keynote speakers on the integration of artificial intelligence into businesses.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1951\" data-end=\"2251\">One of the most anticipated events of the year was the 12th <strong data-start=\"2011\" data-end=\"2041\">Gran Canaria Me Gusta Fair<\/strong>, which attracted more than 15,000 attendees and 110 companies. Once again, the event proved to be the perfect venue to explore local gastronomy in its broadest sense and experiences tied to the primary sector.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2253\" data-end=\"2402\"><strong data-start=\"2253\" data-end=\"2274\">Canarias Comunica<\/strong>, the Communication Forum, focused this year\u2019s discussions on podcast creation as a key part of modern communication strategies.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2404\" data-end=\"2916\">To close the semester, Infecar organized two of the most popular and attractive fairs of its annual program. On one hand, the <strong data-start=\"2530\" data-end=\"2564\">International Sea Fair (Fimar)<\/strong> once again drew in professionals and enthusiasts from the nautical and marine-maritime sectors around the common goal of boosting the blue economy. On the other hand, <strong data-start=\"2732\" data-end=\"2743\">Fisaldo<\/strong>, the Opportunity Fair, celebrated its 25th anniversary with great success: nearly 23,000 people visited the fairgrounds in search of unique deals at the best market prices.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2918\" data-end=\"3273\">Regarding external events held at the venue, Infecar hosted a variety of gatherings. In February, the <strong data-start=\"3020\" data-end=\"3060\">Consul 2025 Conference: Gran Canaria<\/strong> took place; followed by the <strong data-start=\"3089\" data-end=\"3160\">Meeting between Vocational Training Students and ICTs \u2013 Conecta TIC<\/strong>; and talks such as <strong data-start=\"3180\" data-end=\"3216\">\u2018Expert Minds\u2019 by Borja Vilaseca<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"3221\" data-end=\"3272\">\u2018Loving Without Losing Sense\u2019 by Leyla Portillo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3275\" data-end=\"3528\">March began with the <strong data-start=\"3296\" data-end=\"3339\">2nd Ecoisla Gran Canaria 2030 Symposium<\/strong>, followed by a talk on children&#8217;s sleep by pediatrician Carlos Gonz\u00e1lez, and the show <strong data-start=\"3426\" data-end=\"3447\">\u2018Modas Pasajeras\u2019<\/strong> by Sa\u00fal Romero, which was followed in April by <strong data-start=\"3495\" data-end=\"3527\">Abi\u00e1n D\u00edaz\u2019s \u2018Pathetic Show\u2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3530\" data-end=\"3817\">May kicked off with the humor of <strong data-start=\"3563\" data-end=\"3597\">\u2018Misery Class by Goyo Jim\u00e9nez\u2019<\/strong> and continued with musical experiences such as <strong data-start=\"3645\" data-end=\"3661\">\u2018La Pantera\u2019<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"3666\" data-end=\"3689\">\u2018Viva Gran Canaria\u2019<\/strong>. The month wrapped up with the comedy show <strong data-start=\"3733\" data-end=\"3772\">\u2018Made in Canarias. Ready to Laugh?\u2019<\/strong> adding a local touch for Canary Islands Day.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3819\" data-end=\"4040\">The semester concluded with the <strong data-start=\"3851\" data-end=\"3895\">Traditional Artisan Recognition Ceremony<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"3901\" data-end=\"4002\">18th Pink Runway in support of the Canary Islands Association for Breast and Gynecological Cancer<\/strong>, and the <strong data-start=\"4012\" data-end=\"4039\">\u2018Spirited Away\u2019 concert<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"4042\" data-end=\"4045\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"4047\" data-end=\"4081\">An equally intense second half<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"4083\" data-end=\"4505\">The second half of the year promises to be just as intense, with seven additional proprietary fairs and events on the calendar. Among those organized directly by Infecar are the <strong data-start=\"4261\" data-end=\"4306\">18th Summer South Gran Canaria Craft Fair<\/strong>, returning to the Maspalomas Lighthouse area from August 8 to 17; <strong data-start=\"4373\" data-end=\"4390\">Expobienestar<\/strong>, taking place on September 26 and 27; and <strong data-start=\"4433\" data-end=\"4445\">Animundo<\/strong>, the Pet Fair, to be held at Infecar from October 10 to 12.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4507\" data-end=\"4735\">In November, <strong data-start=\"4520\" data-end=\"4541\">ExpoAgro Canarias<\/strong> returns to the fairgrounds, providing a meeting point for professionals in the primary sector to discover and share the latest technological solutions transforming agriculture (November 26\u201327).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4737\" data-end=\"4917\">Immediately afterward, a new edition of the <strong data-start=\"4781\" data-end=\"4808\">Gran Canaria Craft Fair<\/strong> will move to the island\u2019s south for the first time to celebrate its autumn edition (November 29\u2013December 2).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4919\" data-end=\"5161\"><strong data-start=\"4919\" data-end=\"4943\">Planeta Gran Canaria<\/strong>, the favorite event for children across the island and the closing event of Infecar\u2019s annual program, also has its dates set: it will take place from <strong data-start=\"5094\" data-end=\"5122\">December 26 to January 4<\/strong>, celebrating its <strong data-start=\"5140\" data-end=\"5160\">25th anniversary<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"5163\" data-end=\"5613\">In addition to these events, the <strong data-start=\"5196\" data-end=\"5215\">Congress Palace<\/strong> will host <strong data-start=\"5226\" data-end=\"5253\">60 more external events<\/strong>, with an expected attendance of <strong data-start=\"5286\" data-end=\"5305\">80,000 visitors<\/strong>. These include highlights such as the <strong data-start=\"5344\" data-end=\"5368\">AVIS Fair (July 4\u20136)<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"5370\" data-end=\"5402\">Jorge \u00c1vila\u2019s Show (July 13)<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"5408\" data-end=\"5435\">Gran Canaria Summer-Con<\/strong>, one of the most anticipated technology and entertainment events, returning for its second edition to welcome thousands of fans of video games and Asian culture (September 5\u20137).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"5615\" data-end=\"5750\">In October, the <strong data-start=\"5631\" data-end=\"5674\">Gran Canaria SUM Festival (October 3\u20134)<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"5679\" data-end=\"5718\">Locos x el Rock &amp; Roll (October 25)<\/strong> will delight rock music lovers.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"5752\" data-end=\"6002\">The drive behind Infecar, Gran Canaria Trade Fair, to organize an attractive calendar of activities for the public reinforces the Cabildo of Gran Canaria\u2019s commitment to promoting a modern, efficient fairground in service of the island\u2019s development.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The fairgrounds face a second half of the year with an ambitious program for all citizens.
